Sporty Dining

I went to Starter’s Bar and Grill, which is located in Dearborn, MI on October 10, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. They served all types of food from burgers to steaks. They hadseveral specialties (house) such as lamb chops, pepper steak, and buffalo wings.

The décor of the restaurant was very much of a sporty look on the inside. They
had flat screen televisions at every angle. While the television is going it’s only on for entertainment. The soft music they played was very relaxing and soothing while deciding on what to order. We had an aisle seat, and there were two rows of those. They were surrounded by booths, which were decorated fairly plain. Although, I wouldn’t mind the booth because it was a cozy little area. Of course, they were all taken upon our arrival. The booths also had large light fixtures above them. It looked brighter than the aisle seat were placed in.

In addition, the bar was located in the front entrance. I thought that was a
great place for it. If you just wanted to come for a drink and relax you would go straight to the bar. You would also get a chance to watch some television. That would be the highlight of the drink.

Starter’s draws in a crowd because it’s located inside a mall. When people shop
they do get hungry, and Starter’s would be the place to fill up. They are also children friendly.

The restaurant is a family owned business that opened up in 1977. They attribute
their success to the overwhelming support of their loyal patrons and the community.
Starter’s opened up their second location in 2006 inside Fairlane Towne Center.

The plates and silverware were extremely clean, which meant they were very well maintained. The restrooms were even better; they had televisions. So if I thought I missed anything going in, “BAM,” it’s right there in front of me. It was very differentfrom most restaurants I have been to. It smelled like citrus, and I thought that was nice.

My boyfriend ordered the chicken alfredo, it was served with garlic bread, and
salad on the side. I found it to be a typical dish; it looked like I could have prepared it. The chicken alfredo was not bad at all. It had the right amount of seasoning incorporated into the dish. The chicken was chopped so neatly, and the noodles had fresh garlic on them. The taste was very good. I could not have prepared a dish like that at all. I on the other hand, ordered chicken strips and fries. It was a typical dish for me, and I love chicken. The fries were seasoned very nicely, but I always put extra salt on my fries anyway. The chicken was very crispy and tender. I shared my food, because I could not eat all of it.

The prices range from $1.99 for fries up to $29.99 for the most expensive
entrée; which is Alaskan king crab legs.

Reservations are not required. If you are out shopping at Fairlane mall, and
want a place to relax and have a drink. It is quick, and the prices are convenient. I give Starter’s three stars.
